Mobile Protection

Avast Business users of the New Business Solutions will be able to install Antivirus on mobile devices at no extra charge, as an unmanaged solution.

You can use the same number of seats as you have purchased; for example, if you purchased a subscription for 10 seats with Essential Business Security, you can install Antivirus on 10 mobile devices.

Component Details

  • File Scanner: virus scanning for mobile devices
  • Photo Vault: password protect and encrypt photo access
  • Identity Protection: warn user of potential password leaks
  • App Lock: password protect sensitive apps
  • Anti-Theft: protect mobile data, help recover a lost device
    • Camera Trap (part of Anti-Theft): activate camera to secretly photograph a potential thief
    • Last Known Location (part of Anti-Theft): record device's last known location
    • SIM Security (part of Anti-Theft): lock device when SIM card is changed
  • Power Save: adjust settings to decrease battery consumption
  • Boost RAM: close apps running in the background
  • Clean Junk: safely free space on device
  • Wi-Fi Speed Test: check connected Wi-Fi network download/upload speed
  • Wi-Fi Protection: check connected Wi-Fi network for security issues
  • App Insights: set data usage limit and alert when nearing limit
  • VPN Standalone App: Avast phone traffic VPN service
  • My iPhone/Web Protection: uses a local VPN profile to monitor ongoing internet communication and stop malicious connections
  • Hack Alerts: monitor for leaked passwords/accounts/personal information on the Dark Web and other sources that contain your My Avast Account email address

Adding mobile devices

Mobile devices are currently unmanaged and therefore will not appear in your Hub.

Forward instructional email with Wallet Key

  1. On the Subscriptions tab, select Add device next to “Mobile Protection [x] subscribed.”
  2. Click Add via email
  3. Enter your email address and click Send email
  4. When you receive the email in your inbox, forward the email to any users who need to protect their mobile devices

The email you send to your users will provide the relevant instructions for both Android and iOS, and automatically include the Wallet Key for activation. Users should open the email on their mobile devices.

Manually provide instructions and Wallet Key

  1. On the Subscriptions tab, select Add device next to “Mobile Protection [x] subscribed.”
  2. Click See Instructions
  3. Copy the links to instructions for Android and/or iOS, then share with users as necessary
  4. Click Use activation code
  5. Copy the Wallet Key (activation code) and share with users so they can activate protection on their devices
